BURRIS customer services

I finally got my replacement a couple days ago. They upgraded my scope but not what I wanted. I sent in a 3x9x40 predator quest and they sent me back a fullfield 4x16x50 illuminated and parallax adj. Yes, I know that is an upgrade, but its heavy and I wanted light weight plus I have zero need for a 16 power scope.
Im not complaining, I will figure out something with it and happy this is finally done. It just took 4 months.

I should say, I wasnt upset it took so long. What upset me was they told me my scope was defective and they were gonna send me a new one in 3 weeks. After a couple months I had heard nothing from them and I emailed, sent comments to the repair spot, etc and only got canned messages with no info back or zero response. I dont do well with getting ignored, ever.
Sorry you had to wait so long to get a replacement, to bad it wasn't closer to what you wanted.
I assume you will sell the replacement and get one closer to what you want.

not sure yet. It may go on a 22 or something. Or it might be a gift. Its a nice enuf scope, just not what I want.
Im not complaining about what they sent me other than I wish they would have sent something closer to what I sent in. I am complaining about not getting an update or answer to my questions.

It’s been 4-5 years now but I had a similarly poor experience with their customer service. I had a new scope that the erector tube came loose on. It hadn’t been dropped and I only shot the gun (223) enough to sight it in. I called them and they told me to send it in and they’d have another one to me before the season started (a month). After 6 months and a couple ignored emails I called in again. “What scope?” It took me a couple more months, lots of phone calls, and a pile of emails to finally get one back from them. It went down the road before I opened the box because I certainly wasn’t dealing with that again.

What were the issues/issue with your original scope?

Over time the zero stop stopped working. I sent it back and they fixed it only for it to happen again a few months later. This time they replaced it.

Either the zero stop screw would wear down or the housing that holds the screw would warp over time and allow the screw to flex and slip over the zero stop peg. Never could figure out what caused it but over time, the zero stop would stop below “0” and eventually wouldn’t stop at all.

Thanks for the info General, I recently bought the same scope so I will watch for this.
