Breakfast Alternatives

Oatmeal and coffee for breakfast. Maybe a banana if available. Throughout the day, sandwich, trail bars, jerky, athlete style gels and gummies for sugars and electrolytes.

After reading through responses I feel kind of like the oddball here. I don't eat breakfast on the regular and really don't on the mountain. Typically water and some nicotine holds me over until lunch time. But if I do want something, it's usually snickers, trail mix, jerky and pepperoni.

Water,
2 packs carnation instant breakfast, high protein, chocolate
Packet of instant coffee
(optional) Powdered peanut butter.

Shake and chug.

Cut meat stick, cheese, crackers and some dark chocolate. Usually get into it after the walk in or first stretch. Don’t forget the coffee.

I'm not much of a breakfast eater either but after a couple hours of being up in the morning on a hunt I do like to snack. Usually it's on some jerky or meat sticks & some GU chews.

One of my favorite back country snacks are the BOBOs PP&J... I could eat on those things all day!
