I have never seen a triple tail in person, but they look like a good fighting fish, especially with fly gear, looks like a good time! Look like a high recovery food fish too, small head and broad body

Here is a couple pics of my first day steelhead fishing with a fly rod, I got 6 on it that day, and 5 the next, and I checked that off of my bucket list and gave that setup to my buddy who likes fishing a fly rod… it wasn’t for me, but I do see the draw, but I would way rather catch one swinging a spoon… the fly rod was easy enough to get bit with, but I didn’t like walking by pockets I couldn’t reach with a fly rod, it bugged me. I think certain rivers would be fun, especially out of a drift boat, but for me, life is too short to walk by willing biters
As you start finding more success in the woods, you will realize how much fishing and hunting is conceptually the same. I have been a fisherman by occupation most of my life, and my only recreation has been fishing and hunting, and it’s all very tied together in approach and strategy
I fish it on occasion, or Wisconsin tributaries of Lake Michigan.
Yes sir, it’s been awhile. Still check in once in awhile but don’t post anything anymore, used to be a cool place, and still some good folks there, but the ratio got bad
