That's boat lot of Albacore. Get them gutted and filleted out real fast,
They all go straight into a slurry of lots of rock salt, lots of ice, and just enough water to cover them, they freeze pretty quickly, then we pack them on ice, we get them really cold really fast and they stay that way.

Meat quality is top priority always👍

I had about 120# of YF tuna turn to mush on me when I got stuck overnight in San Diego, a huge wreck on the 405 FRWY. I had them packed on ice. the boats all have 28 deg. salty water baths in the hold. But overnight was to long.

Absolutely

They were all cut and vac sealed by 10pm, tuna is fragile flesh, and so good if taken care of

Crazy to think, not many years ago, there wouldn’t be a bag of ice on a tuna trip, luckily we have learned.

Took my boy on our 3rd annual dirt bag fishing trip out west. We rented a raft for the first 3 days and I learned how to bump and spin down a river. We had a great time, caught a lot of fish, and certainly the highlight for me is that my son (now 9) is fishing on his own and catching fish and dealing with his own tangles and hang-ups. Only had to give him two piggy back rides across a river the whole trip. It's rewarding and a bit frustrating to see he's going to master this sport at a much much much earlier age than I did.

Posting this pic of my fiancé' Selena with a nice smallmouth bass on the Missouri River in Montana last year. We will be in the Detroit, Michigan area for work this September and October, and I'm hoping to get on some smallmouth on the Detroit River and Lake St Clair. If any of you guys have any leads on a good guide for Lake St Clair and/or spots to fish from shore please give me a shout out.

Thanks in advance!
