Today we have the man himself on the Rokcast: Famed bowhunter "Reginald". No one really knows his name and I have a gut feeling he could even be a creation of AI, but no matter, he puts up some epic memes, and I've learned some good stuff about improving my archery accuracy from him. Listen in and flame away!

Man I thought my 450 grain arrows were a nice moderate weight.. now I gotta buy new arrows so I can build a moderate 390 grain arrow..

Kinda depends.

If you are a 31" DL, I don't think you need it.

If you 26", yeah I think you can see some advantages without giving up much.

These were just suggestions, and talking about what has/hasn't worked for me, your results might vary.

I only tease.

I'm somewhere around 28-28.5. I originally wanted my arrows around 430 but I ended uo cutting them a little long. When I fatigue and my form starts to slip I sometimes let my bow hand pointer finger raise above the shelf. I've had vanes nick it so I leave my arrows a little long to keep the BH away.

I shoot more 3d and Tac though so maybe it's time to try a lighter arrow and see how I shoot with them

Try shooting some scored rounds on paper, just to keep track of where you are at.

See if you find an improvement by changing.

Lots of people think they do something that is an improvement, but they aren't tracking what the are doing. It's really easy to be biased. What feels better, isn’t always better, and what you convinced yourself will be better isn't always.

Just more data.

The past 2 years I have been photoing every Vegas 3 spot target I shoot. Especially this time of year I just go grind away on that thing.

Currently working on learning to shoot a handheld release. My first month was not good. I'm now on month 3 or 4. I'm not shooting as many Xs as i did on the index. But I'm seeing significantly less flyers into the outter rings. Just consistently hovering around the 8, 9,10s. It's definitely helped to refer back.
