Looking for boot recommendations, for all around hunting use from big game to to chasing upland birds. Current foot issues include having flat, wide feet, and narrow heels in size 12. Top it off, I also have sesamoid issues in my right foot. I've found that the Irish Setter Trailblazers and Wingshooters fit great, but the soles ware out to fast (maybe get 3 seasons). Does anyone have recommendations that have a similar fit to those boots?

I use different boots for different things as some of mine are pretty $$$.

I use Kennetrek Mountain Extreme insulated 400 gram for some moose and elk, also Lowa GTX Hunter 400 gram for elk/moose.

I use my Irish Setter Upland Wingshooter for all upland as I dont want to rip the crap out of my expensive Kennetrek/Lowa boots in thorns.

I also use Schnees Hunter pac boots with bob soles when real cold or snow even use them in South Dakota when it gets in negative temps and also Elk hunting.

I consider all these boots outstanding for their purposes.

If I could find another boot that fits well, I would prefer to do this to avoid burning out boots so fast. I tried the Lowa Renegade GTX and those were too narrow, even in a wide. I've not been able to try a Mountain Extreme yet, but is on my list to try on.

In your moose/elk boots, are you sacrificing foot comfort for ankle support, or still expecting the same level of comfort ?
