I just finished 5 days of cutting trails in lodgepole jungles. At the end of each day my arms are covered with blood. Every sharp branch end that touches me cuts my thin skin and leaves me leaving a blood trail. How do you gents deal with this?

Same here just got bad from a few days at my camp in AL. Working on atvs, cabin and in the woods. Arms look like they got put through a wood chipper. I’m on blood thinners so even worse. I think long sleeves are a good start. Also I need to pay more attention to where I stick my arms. My arm cant be used like a pry bar anymore. If I do it will have blood blister or bruise. I’m learning to move gear to get to gear rather than jam my arm between two coolers to get something out. I’m also learning that busting around in thistle thickets is going to yield a ton of blood. With each year I’m finding work arounds.

I went through this a couple of weeks ago elk hunting. Busting overgrown trails with different kinds of vegetation.......a couple of us looked like axe murderers.
It was warm out so I had my sleeves rolled up but long sleeves are the way to go. No issues then.

I'm going to look into kevlar sleeves used in mining. They are common in underground operations especially in sharp rocks. They might provide the protection without the heat retention.

Use these, $13/shirt. Number of companies use for their branded fishing shirts. Excellent moisture transport, no heat retention, my go to for sun and skin protection while long distance offshore fishing trips, wish they offered olive color.

Damn, I'm in the old guy group . I wear long sleeve shirts. It works pretty well. Not perfect but good enough.

Ive used the kevlar sleeves and they work fine but could be hot in warmer weather. Could also just cut the sleeves off of old spandex LS shirts or other wicking material if it's warm out. Perhaps the wife has some she won't miss.

I wear long-sleeve UV fishing or sun-shielding shirts, as they breathe well and do a good job of protecting my arms. The shirts don't last long because they get snagged a lot, depending on the brush you are going through, but I'm okay with that.

Ubac shirt is the ticket. Breathable torso and heavy material on the arms.

Everybody's favorite. Canvas long sleeve shirt. Old school but they are bullet proof. Almost.

Have a bunch of briars on our property. Brush buster pants are a necessity. As for shirts/jackets, I just wear something I don't care about. If hot, just have to live with the scratches, no fun. I used to be on Plavix, would take a while for the bleeding to stop. Looked like I had been tortured.
