Yes it is. The rings are highs, needed to clear the erector housing, not the bell of the scope. Is that a Maven RS1.2 scope? Are those low rings? I’ve thought about buying that scope for my R8, but have wondered if there is enough clearance between the low 30mm scope rings and the scope base. I want to stay with the lowest rings possible.
If a guy wanted to put money away for "the rifle" is there realistically anything better from a hunting standpoint than an r8 and 2-3 barrels? The other option would be something like a bat vesper custom but the more I dig the more I'm leaning blaser.
The do use a very hard steel and nitride it.I have heard that blaser barrels seem to have better barrel life than most barrels, can anyone speak to that?
I’ve heard of barrels with over 14k rounds on them and still going strong.

I purchased a R8 professional new in box for $3,300 last year. There are deals if you look around. Yes, the 223 is 1-10”.The video is like crack. I have started down this rabbit hole before, but backed out. Suppressed the bad thoughts (“squirrel!”) and then I see this.
Remind me the range for that R8 all in (minus scope)? And isn’t the 223 barrel a slow twist, so something I should avoid considering, right? Right?!
Phew! If the 223 was 1:8, I might be ordering. Thanks for saving me (I'm sure temporarily)!I purchased a R8 professional new in box for $3,300 last year. There are deals if you look around. Yes, the 223 is 1-10”.
Several aftermarket ways to get 1-7 or 1-8 twist 223. I have one and it works great.Phew! If the 223 was 1:8, I might be ordering. Thanks for saving me (I'm sure temporarily)!
