I also got these to try. I'm not really sure what thae difference is other than size, less caffeine, and higher carbs. The one I've tried so far was a fair bit more bitter than than larger one, but it also had some of the ingredients clumped in it so it may have just been a fluke that wasn't mixed well. I'll update when I try more.

tried my first yesterday.

As much as I like coffee and Rokstars, I can't handle 300mg caffeine at once. (I drink the Rokstar light for that reason, unless just really tired and need to drive or something,) so the 200 mg of the EspressoMocha was good fit. I didn't get the jitters and it tasted good.

Also, did not shake it up as directed and 2nd sip I swallowed a ball of something that tasted like chocolate cake. Not sure what it was, but is was good. Will shake the next one.

The calories are more than a soft drink though!

Back in November 2021 Black Rifle provided myself and other Rokslide writers with some of their coffee to try out. The products they have provided are as follows:

Mission Fuel Variety Pack

Coffee Steep Bags

BRCC Instant Coffee singles

Ready-to-Drink cans

They are also going to be sending some ready to drink options that we'll assess when they arrive.

My experience:

The quality of the coffee is just as good as most fresh ground coffee house brews I have tasted. My personal favorite has been the AK espresso blend, which has a rich dark taste as you'd expect of espresso blends.

The instant packs are surprisingly good for instant coffee. Being the addict I am, I've even used them in cold water in a pinch to stave off headaches. It takes two to make a cup sufficiently strong for my taste but that's not unusual. These do nicely in the mountains.

If you have any questions lets us know.

THose instant singles are pretty good! I've taken them on 4-5 hunts now and I like them better then any of the others.

Loved that pic.

And a little update to post #22 above. Took those espressos on my recent road camp hunt and decided they have a little more horsepower than I thought above, and they’re a little too sweet to drink every day for me personally. But when I’m tired and can afford the sugar, I like them. By the way, that thing you swallow on the first sip or two is a marshmallow. Its good and reminds of getting lucky on the old pork & beans can when you get the bacon on the first bite.

I've been drinking the Espresso Mocha and the Ready to drink 300 on the long drives to and from my hunts. I really like them, but sometimes they can be too much for my stomach, if you know what I mean. I found that surprising since I drink coffee and MTN OPS Ignite all the time.

I have also shared them with friends and family on hunts, and everyone agrees the taste is awesome.

View attachment 457748I started using the Steep bags last year so quite a bit of experience with them:

1) as a strong coffee drinker, I either need to only use 5oz or less of water:single bag, which isn’t enough coffee for this addict, so I usually i just run 10 ozs: 2 bags for a good strong flavor, and enough brew to get me out of camp

2) not bitter, even brewed strong

3) only thing I don’t like is dealing with leftover bags, but they do burn fine when dry.

So I typically use them at a road camp and run the instants for backcountry

What is in the bag? Is it just coffee grounds?

The instant sticks are excellent. I think they're good value for money and I take them camping whenever I go.

Their bags of coffee are a little pricey for me but the instant sticks and the canned mocha once in a while are staples...
