Black ovis/camofire going out of business?

Dunno how much it hurt but I know I ceased spending money with them over it. That one email reply they sent someone about how the poacher muley freak was posting interesting updates from his side of things was weird, its like the poach muley freak wrote the email himself type of weird. Even if they wanted to give the benefit of the doubt while in court the convictions aren't up for debate, they happened and yet they continued to carry gear from the poacher muley freak. Can't say I hoped for them going out of business, I personally hoped they'd do the right thing a sever ties with the poacher muley freak.
Hey pods8 off the subject, aren’t you the one that made the load shelf strap attachment for the packs. I believe I bought one from you for a SG pack and have been dying trying to find another. I’d be interested if you’re still making them or would. Thanks

Ordered a set of the Black Ovis puffys for my son a couple weeks ago. Shipping took longer than usual which was weird but I did get them. I almost waited, glad I didn’t. Hopefully this is a temporary thing. Usually something like this leaks by someone who knows what’s happening. Curious what transpires.

Are they just going to be an online store? Black Ovis Website is back up and running. CamoFire app is still not working though.

If you look at the top, it says they have ceased operations.

Seems odd to me that it says that but you can still add stuff to your cart and checkout. I would be very hesitant to give them any money until this is resolved.

Just saw the post on FB and had to come here to see if it was discussed. Very bummed and sad for kind of a closure to an era in a way. :(

They continued to sell muley freak branded products and would even go so far as to defend muley freak in spite of a pattern of bad behavior. I hope it’s not just a transition and that those of us who’ve stopped buying from camofire and blackovis since cost them enough they went broke

i understand not supporting a company that doesnt align with your values. This though is heartless. you strived to put someone out of business? Take food from someones table and maybe even their kids and thats something to be proud of? i feel sorry for you if thats how you view the world.

Right, and honestly if he never shopped from any retailer who carried any brand he disagreed with he couldnt shop anywhere. I bet you anything the local grocery store, walmart, liquor store, etc all carry some brand that did something very disagreeable. They just didnt all get their own thread here.

I sent a pair of Crispi boots back and were delivered last Monday. No credit back on my card. I too logged a dispute with my cc. My guess, im out the $350.00 based.on what im reading.
Stay positive. I seen movement today on my tracking of delivery so we shall see????

At the same time they(black ovis) are being reported to be taking orders right up until the end, aren’t returning customer calls and emails, weren’t paying companies for product they had and are telling those companies too bad we are bankrupt.

I don’t feel bad in the least for black ovis if all that works out to be true.

Maybe just take a breath, until a few more of the details roll in. It's possible something fell apart last minute and caused a non-recoverible implosion that shuttered the doors permanently.

You can always rebel rouse later to burn them at the stake if need be.

Before jumping on BO as taking orders they know they won't be filling, I'd let this shake out a bit.

I certainly hope that's not what is happening, and it could be. I'd be chasing a charge back if I had made a purchase, but it might also be an algorithm that wasn't shut down that is excepting orders.

I might be incorrect, but the merchant will usually need to confirm the order once shipped which is what ultimately charges the account. Usually its a hold.

This is a loose translation from someone with some basic understanding of how CC services work. And is likely a bit different depending on which card service you use in your business.

Just saying it might be a bit early to be gathering the marshmallows, Hershey, and graham crackers.

As a supplier, depending on how you ran your accounts, you might be SOL. If you were doing a net30 I'd be getting in line for the settlement of debt. Hopefully you were a secured supplier, however thats not too common, especially for smaller mom and pop type businesses getting their products out there.
