Friends (including an opera regular) own and like them. My personal experience was brief, but pleasant -- in unchallenging conditions.

FOV is about the same as the Gen2 Viper HD 8x42s, very comfortable to hand hold.

2x less magnification, but for roughly 1/8th of the cost...

You may want to try a Rick Young harness.
Basically just bungee cord. As light as you can get easy to use.

I’ve used one for probably 4 years now during our rifle season.
I usually wear it loose so I can move it around under my sling if need be.
The way they adjust is with a toggle on the back.
I honestly think with the range of adjustment it fit anywhere from a toddler to an adult.
