When I look on the AGC website and go to the shop page it lists the KISS and CUB and the others. When I click on the different materials below my options for size are compact, regular, etc. How do the different sizes match up to the Kodiak models?

I think the website is a fast moving work in progress. I just called Jaret on the phone.

Use my FHF gear binos for hunting elk in Montana and whitetails from a tree in Kansas. Zero issues. My buddy has an AGC that he seems to like. I don't run a rangefinder or a gps so the FHF is my choice. If I did I'd run the AGC.

Good information on these options but I have two questions. As a bowhunter do they get in the way of your shot cycle from drawing to release and follow-through or are they tucked close enough into your chest so they do not get in the way? Second, how does say the AGC or a KUIU harness fit under a Kuiu Icon Pro 3200 pack? I currently have a neoprene sleeve that wraps around the binoculars and has top and bottom covers while connected to the harness , looking for something a little sturdier. Thanks much...

Keneboy-
I have an AGC and it is bulky compared to an OPW or KUIU or even Sitka, but it doesn't impede my draw cycle or release at all. The bottom half the the string easily clears in front of the harness. As for your second question, I've had no problem wearing the harness loaded with stuff while wearing my SG pack.

I will say it can be a PITA while layering up or down to take off your pack, then your bino harness, then layer, then bino harness, then pack. If you're layering up or down frequently it can become a annoying, nothing that's a deal breaker though.

Only issue I had with my AGC was the harness, it doesn't ride as well under a pack as the FHF, mine would bunch up and bug me at times. It also makes a loud rubbing sound with the new Kifaru pack frame that is annoying but my buddy couldn't hear it when we were together so it must not be too loud. For ML or rifle I really like the AGC but for archery I prefer the FHF. I think the Bino Bro Pro for OPW will be the quietest option for archery but didn't archery hunt this year to try it.

Also the foam in the harness really absorbs blood well, kept thinking I had a dead animal around me until I realized I really really had to get the harness clean.

Good points dotman... Another thing worth mentioning, I had a problem with the buckles slipping on me. And the AGC riding a bit lower than I would have liked. Some auto-lock buckles (like that on MRpacks) would be a good addition- Saw some fella on the Rok had added that to the harness.

Being in the Archery hunting industry I have tried many different styles and brands. Also living in Az and hunting the ever elusive Coues deer ( that are one of the easiest spooked animals around) I have found a few that work and that I am satisfied with. My main problem is I'm always looking for what's better. I don't want to just be satisfied I want to be blown away. I ran the FHF for awhile and it is in its own rights a great harness. It does however lack in many areas where the AGC excells. I want full coverage protection for the couple grand of optics that I'm carrying around. The AGC company has customer service that is second to no one. They will do whatever it takes to make sure that you are in the right product as they have many different styles for every style of hunter. They are extremely durable and long lasting as well as being light weight and letting you carry the essentials in any situation. I have yet to find a product that matches this. I have used their products for a couple years and shoot my bow very regularly wearing the harness. I am a huge advocate for this product and tell everyone I know about it. Simply put if you demand the best not only in product but customer service and warranty then why look anywhere else. Don't waste your time with all the OK products and gizmos just get one and be done.

I just talked to Jaret yesterday, and he said they were adding the locking buckles onto the newer models(sometime?). He didn't say if it was an option or standard. I just bought another one today. I don't run a strap on my Tikka, and it sits on top of the AGC and keeps my arms from getting tired. Always in the ready position. I looped the top buckles in a knot and they only slip a little on long hikes now. I will plan to swap out for the locking buckles. That is a great idea.

I got a OPW Bino Bro from a member here and there is a twist in the front straps. I don't like it. I also ordered a AGC and I like it so far. Better protection and straps.

The AGC website needs some work but it sounds like that's in progress. For you AGC users, what is the "Basement"?

I'm assuming the picture of the guy packing the elk on the Web page is utilizing the KISS harness? There are no detailed pictures or description of the KISS, nor does it give you any options to buy it.

Are there any internal straps that secure your binos to the harness once they are removed from the pocket? Or are they simple free at that point?

The shoulder harness is big, any issues with discomfort from your pack straps riding on top of the bino harness? Does the KISS run this same beefy shoulder harness? The harness seems a little overkill and would be hot.

Binos are free but it is easy to add a paracord to the binos and either tie it off to the harness or wrap around your neck. I did have an issue with the harness bunching and creating a little annoyance but no discomfort.

I would like to see an option of the harness similar to FHF as the FHF rides under a pack better. I also notice a rubbing sound from the harness and new Kifaru frame that was annoying as well. I'll probably at some point butcher the harness or make it attach directly to my pack shoulder straps as the harness is my only dislike of the system.

The harness is not hot.
