Hands down Darn Tough Socks. Best warranty in business no haggle replacement if you ever damage them. I own about 12 pairs now its all I wear.

Started out with Smartwool, tried Darn Tough, pretty much switched over to Darn Tough. Wear the extra cushion mountaineering socks at least 5 days a week 9 hours a day in my work boots. SE Alaska, usually wearing un-insulated lineman boots. Under 30°, I,'ll usually pull out the pacs, anything 30 and up, feet are pretty comfortable in the regular boots.
Couple years of wear on some of the socks, nothing looks to be wearing out.

I like the Costco Marino blend also. Great price, comfortable and wear good.

^^^this. I've tried all the top brands, DT, SW, etc., and really don't see the need to spend the big $ when I can get the same comfort out of cheap Costco socks and a decent pair of liners.

I gave up on wool several yrs. ago. Yes it's warm and comfy. but takes forever to dry. I use a liner and a synth. outer sock, diff. thickness for diff. temps. When I got a pr. of mindle's a few yrs. ago they came with a tag recommending synth. only socks. I followed their advice and never looked back.

I think this line from the Darn Tough website is hilarious unless they've changed something in the last couple years.

Performance Fit: No slipping, no bunching, and no blisters.

The hunting cushioned boot socks I bought were like they were covered with Teflon. I spent all day taking my boots off and pulling them back up out of my boots. They were the worst for that I've ever worn. That's the only reason I got rid of mine.

Been happy with First Lite's socks, just wish they made a pair that was a little heavier for really cold & stationary hunts. Also, as someone with thick calf muscles, wish they were a little wider up top. They never bunch up or slide off my feet which is why I stuck with them. Most every other sock I've tried has, but I have yet to try Darn Tough.

$24 for a single pair of Darn Tough Hunter socks, no thanks. I love great gear, prefer to be comfortable when I'm hunting or hiking, but for that same money, I can buy 8 pair of the merino wool socks from Costco. They may not have a lifetime guarantee, but I've got 8 pair of socks.
