I've lived my teenage and adult life in AZ, MO, TX, OK, KS...if i could go back in time and had the funds, I wish i would have purchased lifetime hunting licenses in all the states that had them available.
I was looking at a job down that way and had a kid in my office that was from there. I went to ask him about the area and his response was something like "I drove a POS minivan in high school and it died on the side of the road driving home. I got a ride to my grandparents. Grandpa and I got the trailer and drove to pick up the van. I was gone for 2 hours and someone jacked it up and stole the tires off the van on the side of the road. Do you really want to live in a place that people will steal the tires off a POS 70s minivan?" I did not apply for that job but I think OP should move there. Its better than Idaho. If you choose NM make sure you budget for getting your truck stolen every other year.
Move to Idaho and get the Lifetime license…. Then move to Az and get the Lifetime license…. Then settle in Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana.. That’s the ultimate Western Hack
All you have to do is meet the residency requirements for each state, then you can buy the license and leave.I hope it’s not that simple. If it is, those loopholes should be plugged.

No kidding. For having joined literally yesterday and for this being literally OP’s first post on the site, I am amazed. This thread is remarkably civil so far
You'd have to reside 6 months in each state first, but after that, you could move away, go elk and mule deer hunting in Idaho and buy your tags once you cross the state line on your way to set up camp. All you have to do is meet the residency requirements for each state, then you can buy the license and leave.
Move to Idaho, gain residency, buy lifetime license, move to Arizona next day. Gain Arizona residency, buy lifetime license move to where ever the next day.
Yea, kind of figured it would be implied that one must meet the residency requirements to gain residency in each state...You'd have to reside 6 months in each state first, but after that, you could move away, go elk and mule deer hunting in Idaho and buy your tags once you cross the state line on your way to set up camp.
No loopholes…. It’s called meeting requirements as defined by lawI hope it’s not that simple. If it is, those loopholes should be plugged.

You missed Wyoming. Move there for ten years and gain another residency then move to Montana. I’m half way through this processNo loopholes…. It’s called meeting requirements as defined by law
Wyoming has residency after ten years? You missed Wyoming. Move there for ten years and gain another residency then move to Montana. I’m half way through this process
