Kimber roulette is real but I still love them. Just bought a mountain ascent in 308 that would not chamber a round from the factory. Tried like 6-7 types of ammo. Finally pulled it apart ... had remove a small amount of metal from the extractor and open the bottom edge of the bolt face with a needle file. Which is obviously ridiculous, but it was maybe ten minutes of work and now it feeds like butter. Plus it's a tack driver and weighs 4 lb 15 oz.
I mean some folks would argue you shouldn't have to do that to a $1500 rifle. Probably not. Lol. I actually do like them, though. Just not sure I'd buy one immediately before a hunting trip.
Tikka super light is a great and safe choice. All the ones I've owned have had very long throats which is why with factory ammo they all tend to seem to have "slow barrels." But the longer throats do give you more room to step on it with hand loading.
