I've been searching for my go-to warm weather sock for the past couple weeks. After a lot of research, I gave the Farm to Feet Ely Lightweight a try. I immediately didn't like them because of the padding placement and it just felt like sock bunched up under the ball of my foot. So after that, I ordered the Madison Lightweight which has a full padded bottom, which was much more comfortable.
Then I did a little more research as decided to try a lightweight offering from Darn Tough, since I have a pair of their midweights and like them. I went with the Press because of the "cool" features - the venting on the top, the thinner fabric, etc. On a scale, they are also 15% lighter than the Madisons. Gave them a try for a bit last night and they were just ok for me. They wanted to slide down my leg and inch or two, and then stayed put there, but I would have rather they stayed up all the way. I put my boots on and walked around for a minute and thought they were just alright. I then switched back to the Madisons and the comfort was immediately noticeable. So that's what im going to stick with, and the other two pairs will get sent back!
Sorry for the long over-analyzation for a couple pairs of socks, but I tend to overthink everything!
