best range finder for the money?

What is the best range finder for the money?
Seeing good things about Vortex 4000 or ?

I have an older Bushnell Elite that has let me down this year.

Ive got the Maven RF1 and love it. I was able to range trees at over 3k yards this last elk season when the conditions were clear. For about $500 shipped, its up there, but Maven offers the same lifetime warranty as vortex, and Maven makes a lot of their stuff here in the USA "with global components". Check them out.
