Im really loving this.

Glad somebody else caught that. It made me laugh

Couple years ago at a fundraiser golf outing I hit the 50/50 for $700. The next week I was at a peewee football game and hit the 50/50 for $70. Couple months after that at our work Xmas party the top prize was $600. First name drawn got it. My name got pulled. That was my heater, and the start and end of my winning.

In the late 90's my dad won a Browning Gold Hunter shotgun in a DU raffle. He didnt hunt so he gave it to me, it was a big upgrade from his Ithaca 37 with fixed modified choke and no rib I was using. At the time my parents could have used the money from him selling it but glad he didnt. Still have it, 3 1/2 with 24 in barrel, it has shot at alot of pheasants.

I believe it was 2015 that I won a signed Clint Dempsey Team USA jersey through soccer.com on a single entry. I’ve only been in hunting/fishing related raffles since then, hoping the drought ends soon on a good hunt.

I’ll start with saying I’ve been fairly lucky over the years. First big one was the Washington California bighorn sheep raffle back in 97. (3 tickets) Second big one was the Oregon bighorn sheep raffle in 98. (6 tickets). Those two set the stage for me buying tickets for every Sheep raffle I could find for the next 25 years. I hit another good one with a Dall sheep hunt in Alaska through the Washington FNAWS raffle. My wife bought me $200 worth for my birthday. Got lucky again in the Washington Shiris Moose raffle 10 years ago. Ended up killing a great 182 inch bull. Last but not least, I won the Montana WSF desert Sheep raffle with one ticket last year. Had a great hunt in Mexico killing a 166 Mexicana ram.

Good for you, those are some amazing hunts! Now I’m curious, what do you think you’ve spent on raffle tickets over the last 30 years?

The big one for me was the CO state wide bighorn tag this year. Have won a few guns, artwork, bags, kennels, etc from RMEF/pheasants forever/DU events over the years. I don’t want to know what I’ve spent on raffle tickets, but it’s way less than what a Bighorn tag would have cost me so I’m in the green!

I won a $15,000 weapons and optics package from Epic Outdoors 2 years ago. 2 months later I won a Sonora, MX mule deer hunt. Those are probably my 2 biggest wins.

About 5 or 6 years ago I won a Beretta 687 EELL Classic O/U 20ga. shotgun at the annual Alaska Wild Sheep Foundation Banquet. I think it retails for around $10K. This thing is an absolute work of art.

Ducks unlimted raffles have pretty good odds. I recently won and successfully took a doe with a Weatherby vanguard talos in .300 wby.

Put a nice scope on it and got it ready for shooting up to 300 yards... got ancy and took it for a walk and shot a doe at 26 yards.

My wins aren't technically raffle wins as I won them from online free entry drawings. Several years back I won a Springfield Armory Saint Victor in 308 Win and an ATN night vision IR scope (wish it was thermal) on a Gun Talk giveaway. A year or so later I won a $200 store credit from Global Ordnance which I used to help pay for a new rifle for my wife. A couple years ago I won a contest put on by the Leviathan Group. This package included an Aero Precision AR carbine in 9mm, a Sig P320 M17, red dot optics for each, 3 kydex holsters, a weapon mounted light, a couple caps from sponsors, a back pack with a body armor plate insert, and a few other small items, and last, but sure not least, a Pulsefire flame thrower. What's that you say? The bonfire wood is a little wet and doesn't want to light. The hell you say! I have just the "lighter" we need!

I'm sure I've posted this before. And not sure if it's a BIG prize, but I won the American Suppressor Association raffle several years ago. I spent probably $50 on tickets, and won a Hudson H9 with a factory threaded barrel and a Rugged Obsidian 9.

The ASA and/or Silencer Shop covered all taxes and fees.

Aside from a vortex scope, custom rod and reel package, a few public draws in Texas and a few guns here and there, won a fully guided desert sheep hunt and won a brand new boat this past July.

I got some pretty decent luck when it comes to drawing stuff.
