I should have mentioned how I organize my packs. A center zip is nice to get to anything at the bottom, middle or top without unloading your whole pack. I bought several Sea to Summit ultralight dry bags in different colors to organize the different categories of gear I pack. I keep all my survival/first aid in a red cross dry bag, green for game bags/knifes/etc, blue for food, etc. It keeps my bag organized and easy to get find whatever I'm looking for plus it's waterproof. I'm guessing you could do this for under $50.
