Best Durable lightweight hiking poles? Peax?

Noone using black diamond anymore? That used to be the rokslide trekking pole of choice.
I think they are fine poles, but to me. they are not worth it compared to what the CMT poles deliver. I can get two sets of CMT poles from Costco for $85 delivered with essentially a lifetime warranty. Hard to beat that.

I've been using these mountain smith ones for 4 years and I have no complaints. Collapse small, stable when extended, don't weight much. I'm extremely happy with them.

I have the Cascade Costco specials, as well as the Fizan 4's from Amazon. The fizans are quite a bit lighter, and I prefer the twist lock for how sleek it is in my pack and through the bush.

I do keep a couple 1'' squares of this stuff to help unstick them when I over tighten a section and can't collapse them. Comes in quite handy!

Anyone have issues with the Cascade mtn breaking. Would you use these on a sheep or goat hunt in Alaska
I used a set for three years of ten day sheep hunts here in Alberta. Will be starting on a new set as I wore out the carbide tip on one of my originals. The hunting portion of use was all backpacking, including coming out heavy with a Ram. There was at least double that amount of use hiking in summer as well. Would not hesitate to use them anywhere.

I use black diamond carbon corks but have a pair of Lekis too. The black diamond is sturdier, grips better in rain, and has less vibration.

I broke my cascades one year when I stumbled with a heavy pack on. The bottom piece had taken a beating to that point, but to prevent that in the future, I bought peax and they’ve been good. I bent the aluminum at some point on the bottom section so I’d like to think that a carbon pole would have snapped but that’s likely not the case. Not a fan of the peax brand personally but I bought it a while back when they had just pulled sissy stix into their brand.

Any feedback on the argali. I feel like they make good stuff but haven’t seen much about their poles
I have a set of the Argali poles, I think the guide models. I’ve got probably 100 miles on them including a couple pack outs and I haven’t had any issues. Super functional too with their adapter you can use to attach the poles together for a center pole, as a monopod for glassing, shooting stick etc. which is what won them over for me in comparison to options at that price point. And the fact that argali is just an awesome company
