Everyone knows there is no such things binos under $400.... there's barely such a thing as binos under $1k....

Seriously, if it were me, I'd find a good used bino, check the classifieds on here and Archerytalk.

You can find the Vortex Viper HD in 10x42 for around $400 or less sometimes. I got mine for less than $400 brand new off eBay.

I recently found a pair of Vanguard Endeavor IV's for about $400. I'm pretty impressed with them so far but I never hear them mentioned here much.

I've done a side by side athlon vs vortex Diamondbacks, same configuration, same price range, I picked the athlon even though I'm a "vortex guy".

As the title says, budget is sub $400. What will give me the most for my money? Looking at Maven C series, vortex diamondbacks, Leupold BX-2, etc. Primary use will be deer hunting with lots of low light, picking deer out of tall grass/brush in prairie/ag field terrain. Have hopes of a western hunt in the future. Looking primarily at 10x42s. Thanks for any input.
What did you end up with? I am looking around same price range for 10x42’s. Wife gave me the go ahead on Swaros, but I feel too guilty about it.

Have a couple of discounts that put the both the Leupold BX-4 and Athlon Cronus G2ess than $400. Can also pick up the Vortex Viper or Scheels equivalent for the reg price at $500.

I just bought a used pair of Maven B3 8x30s as a second pair so my kid can use them. They are pretty good. Paid $400. I usually use 10s, but really like the offhand stability of the 8s.
