Best all around Trekking poles ?

I have some komperdell poles from STP that I broke this season. Totally my fault, had them extented out too far and was using them to steady the bino's fell off balance and broke the plastic at the end of the bottom/middle sections. They supposedly have a 3 year no questions asked warranty, So have sent the pole in and am waiting to hear back. . .

As an update I received the original pole back repaired and ready for action, no questions asked. I would not hesitate to pick up another pair of komperdells for anyone on the fence.

I've been using the Komperdell Carbon Vario 4's for a couple seasons now and they've been superb. I've been amazed at how well they've held up to me beating them around in the rocks. These also extend up pretty tall for a tipi shelter, which was another reason I bought them. They're perfect in the MLD Duomid.

I have also had phenomenal experience with Komperdell customer service. Two thumbs up. And their trekking poles are stout.
