Can anyone give me any background on bows made by Archery Traditions? I have a chance to pick up this longbow and was curious if anyone can give any info on them. Not sure I can even draw it though!

Can you get a picture of the entire bow?
Archery Traditions was started by Dan Quillian from Georgia. They were mostly active during the 80s and 90s. Mr Quillian was an early promoter of “traditional archery” in the post compound era. He wrote a few articles for hunting magazines promoting the longbow as a superior hunting weapon. It convinced me to try it as a teenager.I have owned some of them for over 30 years. They had a few different models over the years. A lot of them are found in heavier weights as he regularly shot in the higher poundage . If you have any more specific questions I will try to answer them.

I was able to pick up the bow from my uncle this morning. It looks to be a bamboo longhunter from Dan Quillian. It's been in storage for a long time. I will have to get a new string for it, but is there anything else I should look out for before shooting it?
