I've seen rugs on the floor. I've seen rugs on the wall. I've seen full body mounts. But I want to see some other creative ways to display your bear taxidermy! What else is out there?

My wife killed a big bear for Arkansas. In last Archery season. She wants to get a rug made out of it. What is the going rate for that? And a good taxidermy to do it?

might check with your taxi about having the bear tanned instead. it is usually a lot cheaper and might work better for you depending on what you want to do with it.

Rugs here go for around $150 ft. I have 1 rug. The other 2 are soft tanned.
1 rug is enough, soft tanned are awesome. My latest front Manitoba will be on it's way to Iowa shortly.

A rug here will run you $3-$400 a foot. Add ~$150 for open mouth. Having this years tanned and stitched up to hang like a coyote pelt. Takes up a lot less room and saves a lot of money

I didn't have the wall space to spare, and having it on the floor caused me to trip over the head a number of times. I finally bought an inexpensive 12" wide wrought iron table (sofa table height) on Amazon 20240630_120227.jpgto place against the wall so that I could drape the rug over it and keep it out of the way. I'm happy with the way it worked out.

I actually have this same thing with my bear rug! Great minds think alike!

I get a kick out of teenagers that walk across bear rugs when their parents aren’t looking just to spite them. Working on other people’s homes, the things we see when they don’t think we’re watching can’t be made up. Lol
