I have a Savage 110 Lightweight Storm in .308

Couple questions
1. Are there any good aftermarket stocks for this model? It takes the Axis mags ( which I don’t really love), and I’d like to upgrade to a stock that takes AICS mags.

2. It has a Lightweight contour barrel.. can this barrel be threaded to take a brake and/ suppressor?

I owned the the magpul hunter and hunter lite... Both heavy compared to other options, but probably your most cost effective option for aics mags. In the end I sold them both.

The lone savage 110 I own is in now in stocky's carbon fiber Hunter. Very good stock and only 21 oz. The stocky's savage stocks LOPs are too long for me, so that's an issue I'll have to address...less an issue of pull as much as it is with having to use a rail to get the scope back enough and issue with the ring spacing.

If you are ok not using the aics inlet, and the stock fits you, the stocky's is a great option.

No issues with chopping and threading that barrel.

With the stocky's you could have a fine <7lb mountain rifle.

I have Savage 110 Trail Hunter lite. I hated the flimsy Hogue over molded stock so I swapped it out with a Stockys. So far I really like it.

I just put a Magpul Hunter on a Savage 110 and I was surprised at how heavy it really is. TBH I didn't pay attention to the weight when I bought it. It does take AICS mags, which is nice. For a bench or blind shooter it's great, but I wouldn't want to go hiking around in the mountains with it all day. But that's just me. I know long range hunters have some pretty heavy setups, so maybe it will just take some getting used to. If you look around you can get it pretty cheap, so there's that.

Length of pull keeps me out of stuff from Stockys as well. I honestly don't know why they don't do a short pull in the mold and use a spacer system on the stock.

It's actually one of the reasons I sold my savages and switched to tikkas. The stocky's vg ergos on a Tikka fit me like a glove.

I just bought a Savage PPR todayit’s a 110 action and come in a grayboe phoenix 2 stock I obviously liked the feel in the store lol. I can’t tell you anything about real world performance. I wasn’t even considering a savage but when I played with the 3 rifles I was considering today the stock just fit me better than the others . I looked at their website they offer savage compatible stocks.
