Barrel contour

I have a 40% off deal from McGowan I need to use. Kicking around the idea of putting a 20" 280ai barrel on an old 270 Model 70 (Finger of God) that belonged to my grandpa. I would want to keep it lightweight and wondering your opinion on barrel contour. Is a Douglas or Shilen #1 too light?

Yeah but I will have the muzzle flared either way.

On something like that I'd be tempted to pay the extra to have them duplicate the existing contour. A lot of times the aftermarket blank contours dont match up that well to factory rifle contours so at a minimum id take appropriate measurements for tapers at the breech end until the continuous/linear taper to the muzzle starts to get a feel for what you have because that's where things seem to vary a lot from factory rifles.
