Anyone get their hands on these yet? I heard there was a load data sheet on Barnes site, but I couldn’t find it. I’d be curious as to what people are seeing if they’re starting to use it yet.

You could contact their customer service and see if they have anything, but I did not see it on the site either.
From QuickLoad, it looks like N560 would be pretty good.
I think the Hornady 160CX load data would also be a good start, but I did not look at how the bullet profiles stack up to each other, so start low.
I bet that Ramshot Grand would be fast, Hodgdon has load data for a 162gr with that, again different bullet on that, so start low.
If you're sitting on a stash of RL26, that would also probably be good.

I called too late Friday. Will try monday. As an aside, if I was sitting on a stash of RL26, I'd sell it for $5000/lb ... isn't that what unicorn farts go for? (Haven't seen the stuff for a couple years)

Well I called Barnes ... there is no published load data at this point (wonder why the dude on the JVB podcast said there was), and if I want the loaded ammo, Barnes the only site right now. Other will have it soon.

There you have it ...

Thanks. Was not there the other day. Wish they had spec’d some Vitavori powders. I am gonna try StaBALL HD.

I think VV had data on a 160cx or 162 ELDx might just have to play. I’m in same boat for 165TGK no data anywhere just gonna use Hornady book on 162-166grain projectiles

This may be of interest.

I’ve been planning a 6.5 PRC project for some time, but this bullet will probably have me move to the 7. A reduced load and/or with shorter barrel with this 160 can still carry velocity better than the 127 from the 6.5 PRC.

Bumping this back up. Anyone use the 160 yet? Reloading it in various cartridges? On game performance? Bc on this one has me wanting to you with something 7mm as a do it all.

The Barnes factory LRX load shoots so well in my rifle that I have not even jumped into load development. I am getting legitimate sub-half MOA groups at 2,970 fps out of a 22" Proof Research barrel. I have seen posts where others are having success with H1000 and this bullet.

I ended up with a load for a 7 PRC. .100 off the lands for a COAL of 3.450 using 68.0 of H1000 and weatherby brass. Average velocity of 2978 and SD of 11.9. Shoots fairly well, no measured groups, but i can stay on an 8 inch steel plate out to 634yd. Weatherby 307 with a 22 inch barrel. At the time weatherby and nosler were the best brass choices, the weatherby just did better, nosler had a heavy bolt lift earlier. I'm not sure if that's my lack of reloading skills or if it's a true thing.

Just got done shooting my "10 round" zero group. Setup is a Tikka action, C6 20" Barrel 1:8. Factory 160 LRX load. 2929 fps, 19.8 SD, 1.47 moa group, .50 MR.

I am likely not going to hand load these, since they seem to work well enough for me.
