the irony wasn't lost on me either.....
*What’s funny is while listening there’s the onx advertisement and Robby is promoting the new lidar technology. No one wants to limit the mini computer in our pocket.
I'll be really bummed out if the trail camera ban goes into effect. It's super fun getting pictures and I'd really enjoy doing it with my kids now that they're getting older. They're not very effective for mule deer but it's sure fun to see what all finds is way down a trail.
So we keep hearing how there aren't as many game animals because of wolves in ID yet harvest numbers haven't changed. Think that may be due to technology and the long range shooting craze?I’ll finish with stats are something we do know and harvest numbers haven’t changed in the last 25yrs even with technology advancements. If the argument is that we get it done faster than in the 80s when it took 2 weeks instead of 4 days then stick to that narrative.
As someone that had a thermal and sold it (to a guy in ID) because they were banning them in UT I disagree.Basically in a nutshell, banning something like thermals for big game hunting, which I am all for, will not change the use of thermals at all. The people that are using them to locate game are people that push the limits and have to have everything in their favor. They will not change their ways. Just like all the stupid new gun laws that the anti's keep pushing down our throats, won't change how the criminals operate and those are the people that kill others.
Agreed. Even cell cams have made it less fun for my kids. They used to rush to meet me at the computer to look at pictures when I’d go swap out SD cards. Now I get all the pics sent to my phone at 8am and by the time I get home from work I’ve forgot to even show them.I'll be really bummed out if the trail camera ban goes into effect.
