Definitely gonna try some of these. I have personally been running compression shorts the last couple years with good luck.
I have also carried a small stick of gold bond at all times!!!

Has anyone tried the step on boxer briefs with the anti chafe feature ?

Step ones are all I wear now. No chafe, stink is very low and enough room so the boys aren't smashed. I wish the make shirts too. I've used exo, fl, black ovis, and several other brands but these are where its at.

UA boxer briefs for the last 10+ years. No chaffing with them that I remember. I do have some of the Costco 32 Degree. I like the UA better.

Boxer briefs I used to do boxers but found that the boxer briefs were more comfortable.

For everyday wear, myundies.com and calvin klein (from costco) are pretty good. Duluth and other "dry fit" synthetics are perfect for active wear. If I'm hunting then I'm generally wearing UA or thermal leggings under my pants and no underwear

I use Path Projects boxer briefs and Squirrel's Nut Butter. Both are primarily running companies, but they are designed for spending all day in the woods. I find they both work well whether running, hiking, or hunting.

I cant handle anything synthetic "down there" in this heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast.

Yeah--I live right by you somewhere. It's X Bionic for me here. I don't know how you stand cotton. Once they are wet with sweat, then it's your pants and wet all day long.

Yikes--I used to do tree work and I'd have 3-4 synthetics with me daily to change out. Could not wear cotton. They'd be drenched and feeling like an easy bake oven in 10 minutes.

Sams had been carrying Eddie Bauer branded synthetic shirts that are some of the most comfortable I've run across. Usually my daily wear shirt. I think they ran $10-$12. You may want to try one if they still carry.

For a quick go, body glide, for a longer day Vaseline. For max protection for multiple days bag balm.Technically not that that kind of “bag” but that is what it’s called. And if you are already chafing and still need to be out for a week get desitin. This is from military training where chafing got bad enough to look like hamburger meat if you weren’t putting on something to help with chafing in the armpits, waist, groin, and thighs, and held up to being in salt water and sand.

Another vote for bag balm. Bought this mostly for keeping leather gloves in good shape during the winter, but have found innumerable other uses for it (apart from testicle teflon-ing, it's great for dogs paws in the winter, too).
