Are you guys running a pocket knife and a dedicated skinner or a single knife when backpack hunting?

I’ve bern running a Benchmade for general use then a dedicated skinner but wondering what others do.

Bench made bug out in my pocket every day of the year, including hunts. Bring benchmade steep country on hunts.
If car camping, I’ll add a camp/kitchen knife as well which is a $17 Maraknov that is sturdy and keeps a good edge

I carry three but I’m not sure why as I only use two. I bring my Steep Country, havalon and the Outdoor Edge Razorlite.

I carry a fixed blade with serrated bottom for main skinning knife. Keep a folding blade in pack. Extra of both in the truck.

I only carry the argali serac now, covers all backcountry and game needs. It eliminates two other knives I carried.

I like having a Havalon knife, actually a Tyto with Havalon blades and a smaller fixed blade- Benchmade Altitude with super S90V steel; the Altitude is kept handy for "regular" knife needs, the Tyto rides in my kill kit

I like the havalon but it ended up just more to carry out with discarded and broken blades.

I just hunt close enough to the truck that I can take 3 knives (outdoor edge), a knife sharpener, a bone saw, cut proof gloves, 6 game bags, and a garbage bag for the hide. Worked great on two elk, a mule deer, and an antelope this year.

I use a Benchmade altitude and carry a leatherman. The knife in the leatherman isn’t great but it is easy to sharpen and the extra tools come in handy.

2 custom knives on my belt. A Buck 102 in my pack always.
(and sometimes another 1 or 2 tucked in here and there.)

After gutting an elk many years ago with just a Buck 505 Gentleman's knife, (1" blade)
NEVER AGAIN.

Havalon or outdoor edge in my pack, and whatever small folder I grab in my pocket.
And a folding silky saw in my pack too.
I used to carry a Schrade fixed blade, but I've not run into a situation where I needed that over a normal scalpel folder.

My edc pocket knife is a microtech utx 80 that goes with me everywhere hunting or not. When hunting I add a havalon for everything animal related. Thinking of switching to a tyto or similar but don’t know why the havalon is great.
