Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but does the RaptoRazor work as a gut hook? Looking at it as an option for when a deer is hung upside down and it's easier to accidentally puncture the gut.
I have a raptor razor. I quit carrying it in the field as it was hard to keep together in the sheath, bulky etc. But I will say, it was the best I have used for skinning. It was great for that. The "gut hook" is great for cutting the abdomen or for just "unzipping" the hide down the backbone etc. And I found it handy for cutting around the "knuckle" of the leg.

The other knife is really good for skinning etc. The blades do dull quickly and it is a bit "gimmicky".

I now carry my Steep Country in my kill kit and my BM Mini Freak in my pocket. Just picked up a couple of the Ridge Belt S90V knives to try now. I am excited to try them.

Of course I still have my Gerber 3 bladed thing that Randy Newberg endorsed, a Havalon, and Outdoor Edge and several other RMEF knives, a Cabelas outfitter skinner blade, a couple nice Browning knives etc. I guess you could say I have a "problem". Way too many knives and most just sit in the basement.
