Backcountry coffee snob.

Probably get laughed at but if you have a Trader Joe's nearby just TRY it...
weigh nothing, excellent coffee and easy. Wake up, boil water pour it in ( don't break cap yet) seal it up and throw it in your pack and enjoy while glassing right out of the spout. View attachment 56457

I'll back you up on this one. Trader Joe's is the shit.

I use the Jetboil java press and have no complaints. Grind large at home, boil some water when I roll out of the tent, steep for a few mins while putting camp back in order, dump in nalgene, go to glassing point, chug warm coffee, go chase animals!

Sorry pic showed but didn't show... yes the pour over packet, they are about a $1.50 each. They are also on Amazon but way more.

I tried Trader Joe's instant stuff, and it's the best of the instants. I also "pad" mine with Medaglio d' Oro instant espresso though. Truly there's nothing "instant" out there worth the name "coffee" though. I'm actually beginning to miss the dogwatch coffee we had in the Navy-the stuff would dissolve the metal spoons.....
