Axis deer

Hey guys, looking for some recommendations on guided axis deer hunting in Hawaii. Planning a family vacation there for about a year from now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't necessarily need to kill a world record animal.

Haven’t decided what island or anything just started planning.

I think the Meateater guys have some good info on Axis in Hawaii. You'll love the meat, it's the best.

Maui has a few guided hunts and if not there then jump over to Lanai for there guided hunt.

If you want a more rugged Wild West sort of guided hunt head over to Molokai.

If you want a luxury experience go to Lanai.

If you are good with a more rugged experience go to Molokai.

For what it’s worth I took my wife and son to Molokai for an axis hunt back in December, and we all had a great time. Tons of animals there.

Is it possible to do DIY on Molokai? I know you used to be able to rent an old truck on Lanai and pay a trespass fee for fairly cheap

Not 100% sure, but I doubt it. Most of Molkai is Private lands. you would have to know someone.
