ATV battery not staying charged...

Hi there - I have a 2003 Honda Foreman Rubicon. A few months ago I jump started a riding lawnmower off of my Foreman. Ever since then the ATVs battery will always be deadened and not seem to hold a charge. I bought a new battery, fully charged it, ATV started right up and ran fine, but now the next day the battery is dead and will not hold a charge. Did I fry some of the electronics when I jumped the lawnmower? Any suggestion on what I need to replace? Thanks.

Are you turning it off with both the key and the kill switch? I have had that matter for some ATVs. Winch that might be drawing some power?

Find your relays and see if any are activated or making noise when the machine is off.

I would unhook the battery, leave it a while. Clean the terminals, just in case, check the ends to make sure they are still good. Check your wiring to the alternator, too, the ends mainly are what you're looking at here.

Hook everything back up and see if it persists. If it doesn't fire up, charge it, without it being hooked up to the ATV. Then, hook it all back up.

If it still persists, tap your starter, and try to crank it.
