Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph at S&S Archery

Where are you getting 104%? I "thought" China was a 30% increase, with most countries being 10%.

Now 125 and may change in an hour, but back to the rangefinder. I hope they do well and S&S sell a ton of them.

Really hoping the shipment delay email I got from S&S Archery last night isn't going to be a long drawn out ordeal. I really want to get that thing in my hands!!!

Any words on this? We have officially passed “mid-April”. These things are sitting in a warehouse in China somewhere. I wonder if they are delaying shipping in hopes that the tariffs will be delayed and lowered. These preorder units have a locked-in price pre-tariff price, so Athlon will probably lose money on them.

I was told by the company I bought, 3 weeks. The delay was due to the port being jammed with companies trying to avoid tariffs. Was told “their on the water and due at athlon in about 3 weeks”

Roksliders! Sounds like we SHOULD be getting a production unit tomorrow or Thursday, so we'll be going to the range on Thursday to do some testing and side by side comparisons. Our initial focus at the range will be on performance of the unit itself and also how it compares to the Garmin. We'll get to the app in the next few days, but really want to focus on range time initially. Is there anything specific that you would like to see...within reason of course!

Just the general information:
1) How easy is it to set up
2) Does it stand up with the legs it has attached, or does it fall down
3) Does the unit pick up speeds consistently, and how do those speeds compare to the Garmin speeds
4) Battery life

Really that is about it for the stand-alone unit. I really look forward to seeing what you guys see out of it in comparison to the much more expensive Garmin.

Nice, waiting on my shipment. Exciting days ahead.

Could you run the Gramin and the Athlon side by side at the same time to see any differences in what they record on the shot?
That would be great but I wonder if they will interfere with each other.

If that’s not possible then isn’t a known reliable load test 20 shot strings with each and see if the velocities and standard deviations are close or different.

Large sample sizes will be more telling.

That could be an issue possibly. If they're on opposite sides maybe not??? Regardless your suggestion makes perfect sense too!

I got a product in-stock notification from Midway today. They're showing it as in stock and "ships today" on their website now so it looks like products are actually landing at some vendors.
