I do get intense when I’m trying to recover a wounded animal, and in this case I knew that we needed to push the buck to keep it bleeding. If the buck was allowed to bed up and his wound coagulated he would be nearly impossible to track down and recover.

This is where he completely lost me. Why in the world would you push a buck that you believe is bedded, unless what you're actually trying to do is be the one to make the final shot, so you can assert your claim to it? This makes no sense to me. This smacks of influencer/writer/I need the big buck to stay famous, so it's mine no matter what.

Feels like both parties had no business shooting this deer. From the sounds of it, they were both just using Kentucky windage and hoping for some kind of hit and a blood trail to be able to finish the deer off. Beyond that, it's hard to draw any info from their stories as neither story leads me to believe they're being completely honest. They both say things that seem a little fishy or like maybe they're leaving some things out or adding things to make themselves look better.

What's the deal with this "Easton" character seemingly not standing up for his wife? Sounds like he rolled over and showed his belly when Aram claimed the deer

There were 2 guys and a boy vs a guy and his wife. Might be a little fella or the other guys mighta been bigger. One was already aggressive.

Why no-one called LEO is beyond me.

I'm not saying he had to challenge them to a mexican standoff but at the very least put your foot down and say "the deer isnt going anywhere until we get a warden out here."

But this is the problem with society, they would rather type about problems they have/had on a keyboard than figure them out in the moment.

Wow so much drama. It’s called kill shot harvest here in Methow valley eastern WA. conceder self lucky if you don’t get shot at “pumpkin patch”. That's why I don’t hunt in there anymore.
Hunters who fallow hunting etiquette are dying breed.

The guy also tries to play the religious victim card. In her story narrative, she did not at all criticize or throw shade at him for praying.

". . . And the way that she threw dirt on my desire to give thanks for the harvest is sad too – they supported the idea and thanked me afterward. Seems pretty low down to use a person’s faith against them. . ."
