Applied Ballistics Quantum App

Looks like your Garmin is in meters and your AB app is in yards. Also maybe toggle on/off the aerodynamic jump, spindrift, and coriolis effects in AB app to see if one of those is throwing off your solution. Also obviously check that all your primary inputs espcially DA are consistent.

Knew I was missing something obvious, that narrowed the gap considerably. Appreciate it.

For those who have downloaded the pro version, worth it?
I find it useful and interesting, it has convinced me to shorten my engagement ranges for coldbore shots on game. Also allows me to study different bullets and cartridges to see what optimizes/influences hit rates.

Any know if upgrading to Pro will eliminate going back to a free Elite level if grandfathered in due to having purchased the prior app and CDMs?

I would like to play with pro, but not sure it is worth $29 a year vs Elite long term.

Great question, I upgraded to pro to mess around with WEZ. I will admit, it is fun and enlightening to change variables and see the impact it has on Wez. It's probably worth 29$ a year to entertain me for a few hours month. 😆

Can't answer with 100% certainty. But I can't really imagine you would lose elite if you did a month or two of Pro. That would be ridiculous.

I’ve just recently been messing around with AB Quantum since Strelok lost support.

When putting in a zero offset it seems the L/R is backwards. If my zero is 2” high and 1/2” left at 100 yards my offset would be +2” elevation and -0.50” windage. When I put in these values into AB I end up with results showing an impact at the correct elevation but 1/2” right instead of left. Anyone else notice this or am I just confused?

Edit: adding a few screen shots showing offset in profile, resulting range card and reticle which provides a good illustration. Definitely looks like the zero offset is reversed, at 100 yards the shots should be left of center.

I noticed the same thing. It’s really annoying, because I have an offset zero for everything but my hunting load for all my rifles.

Thanks for the confirmation. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t out to lunch.

I am also a frequent zero offset user to cover different loads. I ended up reversing the offset in profiles of all loads that have a L/R offset. Hope they don’t correct this issue during an update without a heads up to all users.
