Anyone catch a bird of prey?

Just curious if anyone here has caught a bird of prey in one of their sets? How did you handle it?

I caught a golden eagle one year in a coyote blind set on a trail. Just tossed my coat over him and turned him loose. Never did figure out why an iggle would be on the ground, hopping down a cow trail, anyway.....

We've caught osprey a- the osprey got a shirt thrown over him - some serious talons they have. Took hook out and he flew off without any issues.

Yeah...this thread caught my eye when it popped up. Y'all could potentially incriminate yourselves here or at least open yourself up for trouble.

Usually if you don't use exposed bait you won't but I had one that had a carcass under a cut bank and you could see it as it was in the side of the creek bank in trees.I looked down to check trap and there was a hawk.After a few choice words I get up there and he's not in the trap.I have on leather gloves so I reach down and grab him and toss to the side.He jumps up on his feet and watches me and finally takes off.I think this year raptors were probably effected by bird flu as we are seeing 1/5 of normal. Better for other wildlife though.
