Any wool pant recommendations?

Wow, that Grey colorway looks way darker than I was anticipating from their website. Is the picture deceiving or are the Cotton/Poly panels just straight black?

It's pretty black. Here's a picture compared to two items that I consider straight black (under somewhat warm lighting).

I'm going to order a pair of the Woolshell's and have the same modifications done -- did you guys ask for any particular type of zipper, or take your own in? I've never had a seamstress modify my clothing before, appreciate any pointers to get it right the first time.

I didn't ask for a particular zipper, and perhaps should have thought of that. FWIW mine is a YKK pull and here's a picture with a 5.56 BH TMK round for scale.

how much did you pay for the mods on these? I'm tempted to buy a pair and I believe I live fairly close to you, so it would likely be helpful to use to same seamstress. I'm in Loudoun County, VA

I am over 600 miles away from you, so I can't help with a seamstress. As for what I paid, I can't remember the number, but I do remember thinking that it would be embarrassing if I ever told anyone, even as a relatively anonymous person on RS.
