Here are some photos I pirated off InstaG.
I keep them on my phone to keep the dream alive! Maybe someday I can fly for fun 🦾

I’ve flown for Mt. FWP for 35 years. 10,000 hrs. Super Cub. Also flew several years with Wildlife Services for predator control. Aerial application until a few years ago. Total time around 17,000 hrs.. Don’t fly much for pleasure except to maybe go look for an elk to hunt occasionally. (Don’t worry, I don’t hunt same day).

I bought my cub with 700 hrs on it. Coming up on 10,000 hrs.. I’ve put every hour on it since I bought it and it’s still damage free; unusual for a Super Cub.

I drove over to Idaho to look at a super cub this week. Very nice rebuild, but been wrecked twice. The first one in the 70s was a fatal during aerial application. Going Tuesday to look at a scout. It’s got a clean record. I think it’ll be one of these two I make an offer on.

Flying is my other expensive hobby. I wish I would have made a career out of it and burned someone else’s fuel.

It’s been on my bucket list to take a two week trip flying around out west. Living there with a backcountry plane would be awesome.

You betcha! Super Cub mostly with some 152 mixed in. Currently looking for a 170 or a PA20 to travel back and forth between NE and ID then of course utilize it in the ID backcountry. One thing I’m going to do is take a mountain course from a CFI. I’ve flown in Wyoming a bit over the mountains solo but I wouldn’t consider that real mountain flying.

Hey Jordan, you can't go wrong with Lori MacNichol at McCall, ID. She's been doing ID backcountry instruction for a long time. She's also coached a few of my friends into fields you wouldn't expect RVs to get into.

PA20 is a great airplane, much more capable than it gets credit for.

Have you looked at the PA20s on barnstormers.com? There's a few on there for sale

Got my PPL last year and now working on my Instrument. I’m hooked and shopping for a plane that I can travel to adventures with. Not looking to land in the bush yet but planning to fly those trips that I’ve been driving days to get to.

Bumping this as one of the newest commercial AMEL/ASEL pilots in the US. Will probably do my CFI this summer, and hopefully get to 500 hours by the time I'm headed to AK permanently next year. If anyone has advice or a hookup on a gig near Anchorage, shoot me a PM!
