Any love for Athlons here?

I did a search for Athlon threads. Most of them are in the classifieds. They make higher grade models such as Cronus, ETR. I have the ETR and love it. I have the Midas Tac too and love it. I like the clarity, tracking is dead nutz IME. Anyone else have praise for Athlon?

We sell a huge amount of their higher end Cronus BTR, Ares ETR Midas TAC to the SnipersHide crowd and they have all good things to report

Iv sent a Midas tac back now twice. Not much faith it it anymore, and not worth enough to move it on the used market.

fwiw athlon has been good to deal with

I have an ares btr that has mushy turrets and tracks 3/4moa high at 20moa. glass is just so so in it. ive got to shoot with the ares etr and that one was a lot better and id probably choose it over the pst gen 2. not sure that I would go chronos over razor gen 2 though unless weight was a really important factor. if i were to start over from scratch knowing what I do now I probably would have went with arken optics instead

Their stuff is pretty terrible, my buddy got their 15x56 binos and after only a few weeks they would no longer focus. Athlon replaced them but that dosent do any good on a hunt.

So far so good on my budget Athlon Talos spotting scope.

I out the Cronus btr on my 6 Creed, it's pretty impressive. Very clear glass even at 29x, tracks like it's supposed to. Compares favorably to the Razor gen 2 but lighter and cheaper

I looked through a razor gen 2 and immediately after though my Ares ETR and I thought the ETR had better clarity. To my eye anyway

Love my aeres 65mm. This pic is 38 min after sunset about 630ish yards away(via OnX). Pic was with phone skope so clarity is diminished some. I watched them for a while after this also. I can’t remember exactly what power but I’m usually about 50% zoomed. It’s not euro Glass but for size and price and my needs I’m thrilled. My son has a cheap pair of there binos in an 8x and for a $70 pair of binos they are perfect fo a kids first Bino.

630 yards away and he's looking at you? That's one smart deer!
