Good job on the trout. Weird how the "bite switch ' flips on and off. Wonder about solar/ lunar, barometric pressure, weather, hatch, planets lined up wrong etc ,???????

Have family over that way and actually had the opportunity to help "shock" walleyes in Muskegon river years ago. Nice steelhead.
https://whiskerseeker.com/whisker-stick-38-catfish-rods/Looking at your pic . Looks like crappie and walleye in the background and another catfish ? I have never seen a catfish caught through the ice . Interesting
Love the ice skates to go ice fishing! That takes talent! My oldest boy with a nice Lake Ontario walleye…and his sisters with a couple from the ice
Those are the glory days buddy, soak them upI’ve been taking my kids out on the weekends for a few hours. I spend a good portion of the time trying to untangle their lines, getting their hooks out of trees, and searching for snacks. But they have fun and keep asking to go back!

Palomino. I couldn't believe I caught it. They usually never bite anything. I got it on a Trout magnet crayfish. Man that was a beautiful fish.Is that a palamino or golden trout ?
I live in northern Minnesota. Don't chase muskies. Was walleye fishing and a buddy caught a 50"" . Looks like that one had a "war wound" on its side. Guys I know that chase them are probably more tight lipped about their muskie fishing spots than hunting! Any stats on that one ?View attachment 419011musky opener in Minnesota last weekend
