Antelope rifle scope

I put in for the draw for antelope here in AZ. If I pull a tag, I might want to use a rifle I have not hunted with before. I will probably want to rescope it and I could use some advice on which scope to buy. Maybe up to $2K but I would happily go lower and could be convinced to go higher.

Ruger No. 1 in .257 Weatherby with a 28” barrel.

Prefer not to dial. I am an old guy and I still use MOA and hold over.

I have no points. Does that mean I am effectively out of luck?
Regarding 3x9x40 -- that power and size has always been my favorite but I think this particular rifle deserves something more.

With zero points you will only be in the 1-2 Pass portion of the draw, which is where most people are anyway since the Bonus Pass tags take dbl digit points. Get the lowest random number, you could still draw.
