Great morning in the woods listening to birds......however having to leave by 6:45 to get Hunter to school makes it rough. Have to nail one as soon as they land from the roost, otherwise they are henned up until late morning. Heard hundreds of gobbles from about a dozen different Tom's this morning. Back at it tomorrow morning.
Hunter has a bird down. I’ve moved locations and set up the blind. Got a storm rolling in but I’ll try and self film with the bow. Going to give it a couple more hours and then call it a day.
Stellar afternoon! Toms were out and about. Passed a big one at 40 with the shotgun. Was wanting him to hit 30 for the bow. 4 wheeler on an adjoining property spooked him. Fun though. Back out in the morning.
Yesterday was dead silent not a bird gobbled on the roost, or on the ground. Hunted till 8. I could have sat in a strut area and waited them out, but that's not my style of hunting. Headed home and shot the Triax some, and started packing for Canada. Leaving early Friday morning on the bear hunt.
