Annealing Service - viability?

He's pointing out to advertise on here for business purposes you need permission (and probably the other forums you referenced). You'd need to talk to the site owners about it and financial arrangements. Its something you'd need to factor into your pricing structure to cover so he was wisely giving you a heads up on that for pricing purposes and to not run afoul of the rules and get booted.
For sure! Definitely would contact the proper site management and make sure I’m operating according to the rules.

Have you considered offering trimming too?

It crossed my mind at dinner tonight, that when it's time to anneal brass, it's usually almost time to trim too. Might as well do both for one shipping cost.

??

Offering full prep service would probably be a good idea. Including swaging, etc. If they're bumping shoulders have them send a piece to spec.

Personally, if I was going to pay for annealing, I would be expecting an AMP.

I understand. My thought process is: my annealer is sitting on my bench in my house. I like to make money that goes directly into this hobby. It doesn’t take long to set up for any cartridge, and once I get the heat set, it runs itself. Pack them back up, create a label, and mail it back.
My son found this guy on SH a couple of years ago and sent him 500 pieces of Hornady .260. He was very happy with the service. Maybe it will give you an idea about pricing, etc.

The only variation you’d have would be the initial setting of the machine (which I could set using tempilaq)

One thing to remember if using Tempilaq is that most of the time it is recommended to use 750-degree. That temperature is based on having a soak-time of 1 hour. In order to achieve rapid annealing you need to be up around 1000. The actual data on temperature is limited, but I arrived at that temperature by using a calibrated laser thermometer taking readings on brass opposite of the flame and observing when it started to get the "dull red glow". If you use 750, you will not actually anneal the brass.
Also, that crap is a PITA to get off of the brass.
