I PULLED A MOOSE PERMIT IN 17A!! Swing and a miss on the Kotz tag and POW bear (yet again, have missed on every draw since it went from OTC) but nice consolation prize. Haven't pegged down final details on whether we are going to hunt 17A or a general area yet (likely 17A) but regardless we will be bowhunting for moose come mid september!

This throws a wrench in my Colorado Deer plans cutting them a few days short but Alaska moose has always been a dream of mine so I'm going to make it work somehow. Should still have 6 days to chase mulies though.

It's funny how dejected a person can feel even when they only put in for the hunts with absolute lowest odds

Awesome!! Congrats on the tag. I'll be playing guide to 3 bow moose hunters this fall so I'm pretty stoked! I love chasing those moose with a bow

First off congrats to everyone who drew! I didn't draw my caribou unit I put in for but my two buddies drew a Kodiak goat tag. I'm pretty psyched however because my consolation prize is our back up plan. One of the aforementioned two buddies and I will be flown in by the other buddy for a moose hunt. I am really excited as this will finally be my first time to hunt in Alaska (barring not drawing a sheep, moose, or goat tag here in WA state).
