Alaska brown bear season 2026….updated as season progresses!

Two archery hunters in the field. Both arrowed brown bears last night. One was recovered. Winds are to bad to fly out and help look for the other one, rain all night and part of the day, bugs so bad the guys can’t hardly hold their eyes open in the brush isn’t helping the conditions any.

First bear recovered is a 8’ bear, 35 yards. The client has shot one brown and 5 other black bears with his rubber blunt as well the day before. Chasing bears off the bait and for practice on the stalks and shot placement. Finally putting the blades on and executing his brownie!

Two archery brown bears in the same night!!
Recovery took time but the hit was good. Rain hampered any blood trailing. My son was guiding him and went back in to look again and found him. Died on the run. IMG_1391.jpeg
