1. Not sure how winter weather will affect my spring hunt but hoping to still be able to see "greened up" areas so I have some idea where to concentrate my glassing.

2. Updated glassing system - specifically more stable tripod. Added 10 mm sidearm because I may have to head into grizzly country if plans A, B, C don't turn up anything.

3. Weight is down from Elk season but not sure fitness is any better. Still have a few weeks to start tuning up my legs.

Just made a camera/mineral run to my south for deer and there was NO SNOW. By May they gonna be rubbed out for the guys wanting a rug...

That's a good thing to think about. I had not considered that aspect of an early rise.
