Alaska brown bear season 2026….updated as season progresses!

I do special stuff to my bait…a lot of special stuff.
My baits are a lot of trial and error, adapted and rolled into what has worked for me. It feels like I’ve got it figured out about as best I can now.
It’s never just bait on the ground, I think a lot of guys don’t experience the success they could with baiting because they aren’t thinking about what they are doing. There’s the “there’s food for a bear. Done. Let’s set right here in the closest tree” mentality that’s people apply. Black bears are dumb. Like embarrassingly stoopid when it comes to bait. Browns are a whole different game.

I mean this politely, is that second bear as big as it looks, or is it a “hold close to camera so it looks bigger”? Looks like an absolute tank of a bear!
Pretty sure it's a great photo of a beautiful bear that the client was very happy with. But well short of a tank. Put my feet to the fire and I would guess it's a ~7' female in the second pic, and a slightly bigger male in the first one.
