Hi there,

I am debating between the

Banish 30

Dead Air Nomad-30

Dead Air Nomad-LT

Thunderbeast 7
Silencerco Omega

I like the idea of the ease with Silencer Central and am also curious if anyone else has any experience. As there are no Silencer Shop Kiosks in my area.

I have virtually no real world experience with suppressors, yet. But about 8 months ago I looked at the same ones as you are right now. I ended up with the banish 30 based on reviews and specifications. So far as a company they have been great to deal with! Also the free t shirt was cool... My only complaint it that I didn’t buy it years ago, because it would already be here!!!

If you go with Silencercrntral I believe they have a buy one get one free promo going. Not that I’d pick a suppressor based off that just but it might make you buy quicker.

I have only ever shot one suppressor. I got the Nomad 30 for my 28 Nosler and I love it! Wish I had taken the plunge years ago. To me the perceived recoil is better because I’m not getting blasted by my brake with noise.

I had an issue with a QD mount and customer service was great!

Dropping off a couple guns today to get them threaded so I can shoot them suppresses as well.

I have had an Omega 30 for 4 years now. Love it. I have both QR adaptors, so i can interchange from AR to 300 WSM. I even use it on my 17 HMR-AR

Thank you. Did you two use their Gun Trust? I know its free just wondering what you did.

Thunderbeast fanboy here. Have an ultra 9 (gen1) that I love. It’s preposterously quiet on a bolt 223.

If I was buying from them today, I’d go with the dominus cb. Shorter than an ultra 7 and close to an ultra 9 in attenuation. Good option as long as you don’t need it to fit under a small ar15 handguard.

No experience with the dead air product, but I know the nomad is well regarded, and outside of some early issues, people really seem to like their omegas.

If it's just for both guns I would do the tbac ultra 7 and a heartbeat.

That can be pretty gassy on an AR though so I would also pick up the dedicated ar and I wouldn't be afraid to go cheap with something like a Yankee Hill resonator k or turbo k.

I went with their trust, it was very easy. As for the bogo, a friend tried to buy the other day but they were sold out on that deal:-(
Suppressors are like apple trees, the best time to get one is ten years ago, the second best time is today:-)

I have a Banish 30 and really like it, however there are a few downsides.
It's a pain in the ass to take apart and clean, and silencer central takes a month to ship you the suppressor after its approved..
It's pretty dang quiet though in the 9" configuration, I won't even screw around with the 7" because it's way louder.
Recoil reduction is also way way more than I had imagined, my wife shoots my lightweight 30 nosler sending 220s comfortably

I spoke with some pro shooters who've been running the Nomad LT and all agreed its quieter than the gen 2 ultra 9.
I ordered one 6 months ago through silencer shop.
The process is very easy and once they have your prints you don't need to send them again for future purchases.
I went with a single shot trust, basically the app goes through like a simple individual form then you can add trustees after you receive the can.
There wasn't a kiosk near me either but do some checking cuz they have a ton of preferred dealers so there won't be a $150 transfer fee, once you're approved the can ships right to your local dealer.

I just did a standard individual purchase through my local FFL, no trust. Biggest challenge I had was getting in with an appointment as my purchase was during the height of initial COVID lockdowns in 2020.

I've purchased thru local shops and silencer shop. Now I'm using my local SOT and silencer shops kiosk. No experience with silencer central but I looked hard at the banish and decided not to purchase it. The omega had more weight than I wanted at the time and I already own an ultra 7. All my research pointed toward the nomad Lt for my next suppressor since I wanted something shorter than 9", relatively lightweight with excellent suppression. I'm still a long ways out on the wait but feel like I've made the right choice. If I were in your shoes I would evaluate why I'm getting a suppressor and for what rifle. Once you know your specs it'll be easier to narrow down the search. Just remember a suppressor is like herpes.... it'll be with you forever. Choose wisely

I used Silencer Central and the gun trust too. It went smoothly, I used a friends name for the trust.

Wouldn’t get too broke up about the BOGO deal, currently sold out. It was for a abbreviated version of their banish22 which is for rim fires only. The free one is about half the size, and half to effectiveness as well. While free, maybe makes it a good value, you still have to pay the $200 fee. Just doesn’t seem worth $200 to me for that unit.

If you had to purchase only one. Which one would you go for?

Ok so seems to me between the Banish 30 and Nomad LT. Any experience between the two? Mainly for hunting rifles, and possible small use on an AR. Mainly in Hunting situations.

Pick one, don't think there's a bad choice in the group.

My only can is a ultra 7. I'm happy with it but I'd probably try a banish 30 for my next one.
